I am an Associate Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, where my research focuses on corporate governance, shareholder voting, and the broader institutional architecture of U.S. capital markets. My work examines how legal structures and financial incentives interact in corporate decision-making, and I am particularly interested in the empirical study of investor behavior, proxy advisors, and regulatory institutions. I’ve also written on topics in tax, antitrust, and bankruptcy law.
Before joining the Georgetown faculty, I served as counsel to Commissioner Robert J. Jackson, Jr. at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, practiced corporate law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and clerked for the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University, a J.D. from Yale Law School, and a B.A. and B.S. from the University of Maryland.
